Poems and Prose #2: Heads Talking

With sanctimony,
  those with flapping lips
  tersely hiss,
Abbreviating their
  commentaries with crumpled,
  deadened wit.
Though disdain
  is my reaction to these
  malefactors' tics,
I'd be lying if
  I said we differed, altogether,
  more than bits,
And I'd laugh,
  same as them,
if they fell to bruising licks.
